Miscellaneous Projects (Some Good, Some Not)

Other projects have included more housecoats, pajamas, dresses, jackets, and other various items of clothing that have been inspired by necessity, movies, television shows, seeing a gorgeous fabric, and more!

Some of these worked (the pajamas), and some gave me challenges: the robe is from a 1940s pattern that didn’t have a lot of instruction (naturally), so the collar doesn’t lay quite right, and the button holes aren’t perfect; the coat is a bit of a Frankenstein of a 1940s lumberjack pattern, but I wanted to change the collar (collars and lining are my biggest weaknesses), and it didn’t end up going the way I wanted; the dress was me cobbling a couple of patterns together to try and emulate a Johanna Ortiz dress I’d seen that I loved. All were excellent lessons!
